The Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced the Kabah and supplicated against six men from Quraysh, among them Abu Jahl, Umaya bin Khalaf, Utba bin Rabia, Shayba bin Rabia, and Uqba bin Ubayy Muayt. He swore by Allah, "I saw them slain at Badr, the sun having discolored their bodies, for it was a hot day."
استقبل رسول الله ﷺ البيت، فدعا على ستة نفر من قريش، فيهم أبو جهل، وأمية بن خلف، وعتبة بن ربيعة، وشيبة بن ربيعة وعقبة بن أبي معيط، فأقسم بالله لقد رأيتهم صرعى على بدر قد غيرتهم الشمس، وكان يوما حارا.
Bukhari narrated it in Al-Maghazi (3960) and Muslim in Jihad and Expeditions (17:1794:110), both through the route of Zuhayr (he is Ibn Muawiya), who said, "Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Amr bin Maymun, from Abdullah bin Masud," who said [what he mentioned]. The wording given is that of Muslim.As for his statement, "So he prayed against six men of Quraysh," only five were mentioned. The sixth is Walid bin Utbah, as found in Bukhari's version.
