Jibreel came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "How do you regard those who fought at Badr among you?"He replied, "Among the best of the Muslims," or words to that effect.Jibreel said, "And likewise, those of the angels who were present at Badr."
جاء جبريل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ما تعدون أهل بدر فيكم؟ قال: من أفضل المسلمين أو كلمة نحوها- قال: وكذلك من شهد بدرا من الملائكة.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Military Expeditions (3992) from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who said, Jareer (that is, Ibn Abdul-Hameed) informed us, from Yahya bin Saeed (that is, Ansari), from Muaz bin Rifa bin Rafi Zurqi, from his father, who was one of the people of Badr, who said, and then he narrated it.
