The Prophet ﷺ said while he was in his tent on the day of Badr, "I beseech You by Your covenant and Your promise. Allah, if You so will, You shall not be worshipped after this day."Abu Bakr took him by the hand and said, "That is enough, Messenger of Allah. You have implored your Lord earnestly."The Prophet ﷺ was in his armor, and he came out reciting, "The hosts will be routed and will turn their backs in flight. Indeed, the Hour is their appointed time, and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter." [Qamar 54:45–46]
أن النبي ﷺ قال وهو في قبة له يوم بدر: أنشدك عهدك ووعدك، اللهم إن شئت لم تعبد بعد اليوم أبدا، فأخذ أبو بكر بيده وقال: حسبك يا رسول الله، فقد ألححت على ربك- وهو في الدرع- فخرج وهو يقول{سيهزم الجمع ويولون الدبر بل الساعة موعدهم والساعة أدهى وأمر} [القمر: ٤٥- ٤٦].
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4877) from Ishaq (he is Ibn Shahin Wasiti), who said, Khalid (he is Tahhan) narrated to us, from Khalid (he is Hazza), from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who said, then he mentioned it. He took it from Umar bin Khattab, as will follow.
