Urwa reported,

There were three sword strikes on Zubayr, one of which was on his shoulder. He said, "I used to put my fingers into it." He said that two of the strikes were inflicted on the day of Badr, and one on the day of Yarmuk.Urwa said that Abdul-Malik bin Marwan said to him after Abdullah bin Zubayr was killed, "Urwa, do you recognize Zubayr's sword?"I replied, "Yes."He asked, "What mark is on it?"I said, "It has a notch made on the day of Badr."He said, "You have spoken the truth."
