Abdullah bin Masud reported,

I was a young lad tending sheep for Uqba bin Abu Muayt when the Prophet ﷺ came along with Abu Bakr, having fled from the polytheists.They said, "Boy, do you have any milk you could give us to drink?"I replied, "I am entrusted with these sheep and cannot give you any to drink."The Prophet ﷺ then asked, "Do you have a young she-goat that has not yet been mated?"I said, "Yes," and brought one to them. The Prophet ﷺ held her by the legs and stroked her udder while making supplication, and the udder filled with milk. Abu Bakr then brought him a hollow stone, and he milked the goat into it. He drank, then Abu Bakr drank, and then I drank.Afterwards he said to the udder, "Shrink back," and it shrank back.Some time later I came to him and said, "Teach me some of this speech."He replied, "You are indeed a lad who has been taught."I learned seventy surahs directly from his mouth that no one disputes with me about.

عن ابن مسعود أنه قال

كنت غلاما يافعا أرعى غنما لعقبة بن أبي معيط، فجاء النبي ﷺ وأبو بكر رضي الله عنه، وقد فرا من المشركين، فقالا: يا غلام هل عندك من لبن تسقينا؟ قلت: إني مؤتمن ولست ساقيكما، فقال النبي ﷺ: هل عندك من جذعة لم ينز عليها الفحل؟ قلت: نعم، فأتيتهما بها، فاعتقلها النبي ﷺ ومسح الضرع، ودعا، فحفل الضرع، ثم أتاه أبو بكر رضي الله عنه بصخرة منقعرة، فاحتلب فيها، فشرب، وشرب أبو بكر، ثم شربت، ثم قال للضرع: اقلص. فقلص، فأتيته بعد ذلك، فقلت: علمني من هذا القول؟ قال: إنك غلام معلم. قال: فأخذت من فيه سبعين سورة لا ينازعني فيها أحد.
