Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "On the night of my ascension, I passed by a group of people whose lips were being cut with scissors of fire."He said, "I asked, 'Who are these?'They answered, 'They are preachers from among the people of the world, those who used to command others to do good while neglecting themselves, even though they recited the Book. Did they not understand?'"

عن أنس بن مالك قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ: مررت ليلة أسري بي على قوم تقرض شفاههم بمقاريض من نار. قال: قلت: من هؤلاء؟ قالوا: خطباء من أهل الدنيا ممن كانوا يأمرون الناس بالبر وينسون أنفسهم، وهم يتلون الكتاب، أفلا يعقلون.
