The Prophet ﷺ said, "There was a short woman among the Children of Israel who used to walk between two tall women. So she made for herself two wooden legs and a hollow ring of gold with a clasp, which she filled with musk, the finest of fragrances. Then she passed between the two women, and people did not recognize her. So she gestured with her hand like this." And Shuba shook his hand to demonstrate.
Muslim narrated it in the section on Expressions in Manners (18:2252), from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, Usama narrated to us, from Shuba, who said, Khulayd bin Jafar narrated to me, from Abu Nadra, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who said... and he mentioned it.
