He informed him that someone heard the Prophet ﷺ while he was in Wadi al-Qura mounted on his horse. A man from the tribe of Balqayn asked him, "Messenger of Allah, who are these?"He answered, "These are the ones who incurred wrath," pointing to the Jews. The man asked, "And who are these?"He replied, "These are those who went astray," meaning the Christians. Then a man came to him and said, "Your client," or he said, "your servant, so-and-so, has been martyred."He responded, "Rather, he is being dragged into the Fire in a cloak he stole."
Ahmad narrated it (20351) from Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Muammar told us, from Budayl Aqeeli, who said, Abdullah bin Shaqiq told me, and then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is sahih, and the fact that the companion is unnamed does not harm it. Munziri graded it sahih in Targheeb wa Tarheeb (2117). Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (5/338), "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."
