Ubada bin Samit reported,
The Prophet ﷺ would take a tuft of fur from the side of a camel that was part of the war booty and say, "I have no more right to this than any one of you. Beware of misappropriating booty, for misappropriation will bring disgrace upon the one who does it on the Day of Resurrection. Hand over even a thread, a needle, and anything more than that. Strive in the path of Allah, the Most High, against those near and far, at home and on journeys, for jihad is one of the gates of Paradise. Through it, Allah 
delivers a person from worry and grief. Carry out the prescribed limits of Allah upon those near and far, and let no blame from any blamer hold you back in matters concerning Allah."

أن النبي ﷺ كان يأخذ الوبرة من جنب البعير من المغنم فيقول: ما لي فيه إلا مثل ما لأحدكم منه، إياكم والغلول؛ فإن الغلول خزي على صاحبه يوم القيامة، أدوا الخيط والمخيط وما فوق ذلك، وجاهدوا في سبيل الله تعالى القريب والبعيد في الحضر والسفر؛ فإن الجهاد باب من أبواب الجنة، إنه لينجي الله تبارك وتعالى به من الهم والغم، وأقيموا حدود الله في القريب والبعيد، ولا يأخذكم في الله لومة لائم.
Abdullah bin Ahmad narrated it in his additions to the Musnad (22795) from Abdullah bin Salim al-Kufi al-Maflooj, who said, we were told by Ubayda bin Aswad, from Qasim bin Walid, from Abu Sadiq, from Rabia bin Najid, from Ubada bin Samit, who related it.Ibn Majah (2540) also narrated it through this same route, but only included the portion dealing with the hudud. In its chain is Rabia bin Najid, about whom there is some uncertainty, but the hadith has other routes that strengthen it. These are mentioned in the book on hudud.
