The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I neither give you nor withhold from you. I am only a distributor, placing things where I have been commanded."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: ما أعطيكم ولا أمنعكم أنا قاسم أضع حيث أمرت.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on the obligation of the khums (3117), from Muhammad bin Sinan, who said, Fulayh narrated to us, who said, Hilal narrated to us, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it.
