The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out while the tribe of Aslam were having an archery contest. He said, "Shoot, sons of Ismail, for your father was an archer. Shoot, and I am with Ibn Adra."The people lowered their bows and said, "Whoever you side with will win."He said, "Shoot, and I am with all of you."
خرج رسول الله ﷺ وأسلم يرمون فقال: ارموا بني إسماعيل؛ فإن أباكم كان راميا، و ارموا وأنا مع ابن الأدرع، فأمسك القوم قسيهم، وقالوا: من كنت معه غلب قال: ارموا وأنا مع كلكم.
Abu Yaala narrated it (61.19), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (4695), and Hakim (2/94), all of them through routes going back to Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqama, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr bin Alqama, for he is hasan in hadith. Hakim said, Sahih according to the criteria of Muslim.
