I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ twisting the forelock of a horse with his two fingers, saying, "Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection, reward and spoils of war."
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يلوي ناصية فرس بإصبعيه وهو يقول: الخيل معقود بنواصيها الخير إلى يوم القيامة: الأجر والغنيمة.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Leadership (1872:97), via Yazid bin Zuray, who said, Yunus bin Ubayd narrated to us, from Amr bin Saeed, from Abu Zura bin Amr bin Jareer, from Jareer bin Abdullah, who mentioned it.
