Anas bin Malik reported,

The Prophet ﷺ noticed the absence of Thabit bin Qays, so a man said, "Messenger of Allah, I will find out his news for you."The man went to him and found him sitting in his house with his head lowered. He asked, "What is the matter with you?"Thabit replied, "It is bad. He used to raise his voice above the voice of the Prophet ﷺ, so his deeds have been rendered worthless, and he is among the people of the Fire."The man returned to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him that Thabit had said such and such.Musa bin Anas said, "He then returned the final time with great glad tidings, saying, 'Go to him and tell him, You are not among the people of the Fire, but rather among the people of Paradise.'"
