The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the best lives people can lead is that of a man who holds the reins of his horse in the path of Allah, flying upon its back. Whenever he hears an alarm or a call to arms, he charges forth, seeking death wherever it is likely to be found. Or a man tending a small flock of sheep on the peak of one of these mountains or in the depths of one of these valleys, establishing the prayer, paying the zakat, and worshipping his Lord until certainty comes to him, having nothing to do with people except in goodness."
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال: من خير معاش الناس لهم رجل ممسك عنان فرسه في سبيل الله، يطير على متنه، كلما سمع هيعة أو فزعة طار عليه، يبتغي القتل والموت مظانه، أو رجل في غنيمة في رأس شعفة من هذه الشعف، أو بطن واد من هذه الأودية، يقيم الصلاة، ويؤتي الزكاة، ويعبد ربه حتى يأتيه اليقين، ليس من الناس إلا في خير.
