The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade combining dates and Zabib together.
نهى رسول الله ﷺ أن يجمع بين التمر والزبيب.
Tabarani reported it in al-Kabir (19/268) from Ubayd Ajli, who said, Muhammad bin Hatim al-Muaddib narrated to us, who said, Ali bin Thabit al-Jazari narrated to us, who said, Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar (he is al-Ansari) narrated to us, who said, Yazid bin Abu Habib al-Misri narrated to me, from Arak bin Malik, from Abu Usayd al-Ansari, who said, then he mentioned it.Its isnad is sahih. Ubayd Ajli, the teacher of Tabarani, whose name is Husayn bin Muhammad bin Khatim, was one of the precise and reliable memorizers of hadith. Haythami (5/55) attributed it to Tabarani and said, "Its men are trustworthy."Abu Yaala also reported it, as found in Matalib Aliyah (1819), from Muhammad bin Hatim, with the wording, "that fresh dates and raisins be combined."
