The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the use of gourds, green earthenware jars, vessels coated with pitch, and hollowed-out tree trunks for making drinks, and he forbade mixing unripe dates with ripening dates.
نهى رسول الله ﷺ عن الدباء والحنتم والمزفت والنقير، وأن يخلط البلح بالزهو.
Muslim reported it in the Book of Drinks (1995:41) from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba, who said, Muhammad bin Fudayl narrated to us, from Habib bin Abu Amra, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, who said, and he mentioned it.
