The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I had forbidden you from using certain containers, but containers themselves neither make anything lawful nor unlawful. Every intoxicant is forbidden."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: نهيتكم عن الظروف، وإن الظروف أو ظرفا لا يحل شيئا ولا يحرمه، وكل مسكر حرام.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Drinks (977:64) from Hajjaj bin Shayr, who said, Dahhak bin Makhlad narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Alqama bin Marthad, from Ibn Burayda, from his father, who said, then he mentioned it.
