I said to Ibn Umar, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid nabidh prepared in earthenware jars?"He replied, "So they have claimed."I asked, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ truly forbid it?"He said, "So they have claimed."In another narration, a man came to him and asked, "Did the Prophet ﷺ forbid nabidh from being prepared in earthenware jars and gourds?"He answered, "Yes."
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Drinks (1997/50) from Yahya bin Yahya, who said, Hammad bin Zayd informed us, from Thabit, and he related it.The other narration comes through Ibn Jurayj, who said, Ibn Tawus informed me, from his father, from Ibn Umar.
