He said, "Do not steep drinks in gourds, nor in vessels coated with pitch, nor in green jars, nor in hollowed stumps, nor in earthenware jars. Every intoxicant is forbidden."
أنه قال: لا تنبذوا في الدباء، ولا في المزفت، ولا في الحنتم، ولا في النقير، ولا في الجرار، وكل مسكر حرام.
Ahmad (26823) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (23/439) narrated it through Zuhayr bin Muhammad, from Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, from Qasim bin Muhammad, from Ayesha. And from Ataa, from Maymuna, and he mentioned it.Abu Yaala Mawsili (7103) narrated it by this same route from Maymuna alone, and its isnad is hasan, on account of the disagreement over Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqeel, except that his hadith is hasan so long as it does not contradict others. Ataa here is Ibn Yasar, the freedman of Maymuna.Ibn Aqeel is corroborated in his isnad by the hadith of Ayesha, for Nasai (5590) narrated it through Abdullah bin Ala bin Zabr, from Qasim, with his isnad, and its narrators are trustworthy.
