We were with Abdullah bin Mughafal when we discussed intoxicating drinks. He said, "Wine is forbidden."I said to him, "Wine is forbidden in the Book of Allah ."He said, "What do you want? Do you want what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid the gourd, the green jar, and the pitch-coated vessel."I asked, "What is the green jar?"He said, "Every green and white one."I asked, "What is the pitch-coated vessel?"He said, "Anything coated with pitch, whether a leather skin or otherwise."
