The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade making nabidh in gourds and pitch-coated vessels.
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى أن ينبذ في الدباء والمزفت.
Malik narrated it in the Book of Drinks (6), from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman bin Yaqub, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is hasan, on account of Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, concerning whom there is some discussion, though his hadith is hasan.
