The Prophet ﷺ forbade the use of muzaffat, hantam, and naqir.Someone asked Abu Hurairah, "What is hantam?"He replied, "Green jars."Another narration adds, "And dubba (gourd vessels)."
عن النبي ﷺ: أنه نهى عن المزفت والحنتم والنقير، قال: قيل: لأبي هريرة: ما الحنتم؟ قال: الجرار الخضر. وزاد في رواية: الدباء.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Drinks (1993: 32) from Muhammad bin Hatim, who said, Bahz told us, who said, Wahib told us, from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it. The other narration is from Nasai (5653), through the route of Muhammad bin Ziyad Dimashqi, from Abu Hurairah.
