I met Ayesha and asked her about nabidh. She told me that the delegation of Abdul-Qays came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about nabidh, and he forbade them from preparing it in gourds, hollowed stumps, vessels coated with pitch, and green jars.
لقيت عائشة فسألتها عن النبيذ؟ فحدثتني أن وفد عبد القيس قدموا على النبي ﷺ فسألوا النبي ﷺ عن النبيذ؟ فنهاهم أن ينتذوا في الدباء، والنقير، والمزفت، والحنتم.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Drinks (1995: 37) from Shayban bin Farroukh, who said, Qasim bin Fadl narrated to us, who said, Thumamah bin Hazn Qushayri narrated to us, he said, and he related it.
