The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every intoxicant is forbidden. Whatever intoxicates in large amounts, even a small amount of it is forbidden."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: كل مسكر حرام، ما أسكر كثيره فقليله حرام.
Ahmad (5648), Abu Yaala (5466), and Bayhaqi (8/296) all narrated it through the route of Abu Mashar, from Musa bin Uqba, from Salim bin Abdullah, from his father, as mentioned. Abu Yaala only related the first part. The chain contains Abu Mashar, whose name is Najeeh bin Abdul-Rahman Sindi, and he is daif, but he was corroborated. Bazzar (2917, Kashf al-Astar) narrated it through the route of Anas bin Iyad Abu Damra, who said, Musa bin Uqba narrated it to us, with the same chain. He did not mention its wording, but instead referred to the narration of Nafi from Ibn Umar, transmitted as the words of the Prophet, for the second part.
