The Prophet ﷺ said, "I forbid you from the small amount of whatever intoxicates in large amounts."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: أنهاكم عن قليل ما أسكر كثيره.
Nasai narrated it (5608, 5609), Ahmad in Ashribah (9), and Abu Yaala (694), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (5370), and Diya in Mukhtarah (975, 976, 977), all of them through various routes from Dahhak bin Uthman, from Bukayr bin Abdullah bin Ashaj, from Amir bin Saad, from his father, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Dahhak bin Uthman Hizami Madani, for his hadith is hasan.Abu Abdul-Rahman Nasai said following these hadiths, "This is evidence for the prohibition of intoxication, whether little or much, and it is not as those who deceive themselves say, prohibiting the last drink while permitting what came before it, which is drunk from the same vessel before it. There is no disagreement among the people of knowledge that intoxication in its entirety does not occur from the last drink alone, without the first and second drinks that preceded it. And success comes from Allah." End.
