He said, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Every intoxicant is forbidden, and every intoxicant is wine.'"
قال سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: كل مسكر حرام، وكل مسكر خمر.
Narrated by Tirmidhi (1864), Nasai (5587), Ibn Majah (3390), and Ahmad (4644), and Ibn Hibban (5369) graded it sahih, all of them through routes from Muhammad bin Amr, who said, "Abu Salama narrated to us, from Ibn Umar," who said, then he mentioned it. Tirmidhi and Ahmad confined themselves to only the first sentence of it. Its chain of transmission is hasan, like the one before it. This chain and the one before it are both preserved as coming from Muhammad bin Amr. See Ilal Daraqutni (9/290).
