I was serving the people of my clan, my paternal uncles, and I was the youngest among them, pouring out fadikh for them when it was announced, "Wine has been forbidden."They said, "Pour it out," so I poured it out.I asked Anas, "What was their drink?"He replied, "Ripe dates and unripe dates."Abu Bakr bin Anas said, "That was their wine at the time," and Anas did not object.One of my companions narrated to me that he heard Anas bin Malik say, "That was their wine on that day."
كنت قائما على الحي أسقيهم- عمومتي وأنا أصغرهم- الفضيح، فقيل: حرمت الخمر، فقالوا: أكفتها فكفأتها، قلت لأنس: ما شرابهم؟ قال: رطب وبسر. فقال أبو بكر بن أنس: وكانت خمرهم، فلم ينكر أنس. وحدثني بعض أصحابي: أنه سمع أنس بن مالك يقول: كانت خمرهم يومئذ.
