My maternal aunt gave the Prophet ﷺ a gift of lizards, dried curd, and milk. He placed the lizard on his table, and had it been forbidden, it would not have been placed there. He drank the milk and ate the dried curd.
أهدت خالتي إلى النبي ﷺ ضبابا وأقطا ولبنا، فوضع الضب على مائدته، فلو كان حراما لم يوضع، وشرب اللبن، وأكل الأقط.
Bukhari (5402) narrated it from Muslim bin Ibrahim, who said, Shubah narrated to us, from Abu Bishr, from Saeed, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.Imam Ahmad (2299) narrated it from Affan, from Shubah, with his chain of transmission. He added at the end, "I said, 'Who said it was forbidden?' Ibn Abbas said..."
