A lizard was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, but he refused to eat from it and said, "I do not know, perhaps it is from the generations that were transformed."

عن جابر بن عبد الله قال
أتي رسول الله ﷺ بضب، فأبى أن يأكل منه وقال: لا أدري، لعله من القرون التي مسخت.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Slaughtered Animals (1949) via Abdul-Razzaq, from Ibn Jurayj, Abu Zubayr told me that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say what he mentioned.
