The Prophet ﷺ forbade the meat of donkeys on the day of Khaybar and permitted the meat of horses.
نهى النبي ﷺ يوم خيبر عن لحوم الحمر، ورخص في لحوم الخيل.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Sacrifices and Hunting (5520), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Hunting and Sacrifices (1941:36), both from the route of Hammad bin Zayd, from Amr bin Dinar, from Muhammad bin Ali, from Jabir bin Abdullah, and he mentioned it.
