The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among you meets Isa son of Maryam, let him convey my greetings of peace to him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أدرك منكم عيسى ابن مريم فليقرأه مني السلام.
Hakim reported it (4/545) from Muhammad bin Muzaffar Hafiz, who said, Abdullah bin Sulayman told us, who said, Muhammad bin Musaffa Himsi told us, who said, Ismail told us, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Anas, and he related it.Hakim said, "I think this Ismail is Ibn Ayyash, and the two of them did not rely on him as evidence." Dhahabi asserted firmly that he is Ibn Ayyash. What appears more likely is that he is Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Muqsim Asadi, known as Ibn Ulaya, for Mizzi mentioned in his Tahdhib that among his teachers was Ayub Sakhtiyani. Its isnad is hasan, on account of the discussion surrounding Muhammad bin Musaffa, though he is hasan in hadith.A note, in the original text of Mustadrak it was corrupted to "Mahmud."As for what Tabarani reported in Al-Awsat (4898), and in Al-Saghir (1/256, 257), from Abu Hurairah as a marfu hadith, "Indeed, Isa bin Maryam, there is no prophet or messenger between me and him. Indeed, he is my successor over my nation after me. Indeed, he will kill Dajjal and break the cross, and abolish jizya, and war will lay down its burdens. So whoever among you lives to see him, let him recite ," this is daif. In it is Muhammad bin Uqba Sadusi.Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Hatim said, "I asked my father about him, and he said, 'He is daif in hadith. I wrote from him, then I abandoned his hadith, so I do not narrate from him.'" Abu Zura abandoned his hadith and did not read it to us, and said, "I do not narrate from him." Despite all this, Ibn Hibban included him among his trustworthy narrators (9/100). And Allah is the one whose help is sought.I say, however, the substance of the hadith is corroborated by sahih hadiths.
