The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am the closest of people to Isa son of Maryam in this world and the next. The prophets are brothers from one father by different mothers. Their mothers are different, but their religion is one."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: أنا أولى الناس بعيسى ابن مريم في الدنيا والآخرة، والأنبياء إخوة لعلات، أمهاتهم شتى ودينهم واحد.
Bukhari narrated it in the Hadiths of the Prophets (3443) from Muhammad bin Sinan, who said, we were told by Fulayh bin Sulayman, who said, we were told by Hilal bin Ali, from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Amra, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Merits (2365) through another route from Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah, adding at the end, "There is no prophet between us."The two sheikhs, Bukhari (3442) and Muslim, both narrated it from the hadith of Zuhri, who said, I was informed by Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, that Abu Hurairah said, and he related the hadith.
