Abis bin Rabia reported,

I asked Ayesha, "Did the Prophet ﷺ forbid eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days?"She replied, "He only did that in a year when people were suffering from hunger, for he wanted those with means to feed the poor. We ourselves used to keep a sheep's shank for as long as fifteen days."Someone asked, "What forced you to do that?"She laughed and said, "The family of Muhammad ﷺ never ate their fill of seasoned wheat bread for three days in a row until he passed on to meet Allah."

Sahih
