He said, "Messenger of Allah, we hurried to slaughter a sheep for ourselves."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "Before the prayer?"I said, "Yes."He said, "That is just a sheep for meat."He said, "Messenger of Allah, we have a young goat that is dearer to me than a mature one."He replied, "It will suffice for you, but it will not suffice for anyone after you."
يا رسول الله إنا عجلنا شاة لحم لنا، قال رسول الله ﷺ أ قبل الصلاة؟ قلت: نعم. قال: تلك شاة لحم. قال يا رسول الله إن عندنا عناقا جذعة هي أحب إلي من مسنة. قال: تجزئ عنه ولا تجزئ عن أحد بعده.
