My sister vowed to walk to the House of Allah, and she asked me to seek a ruling for her from the Prophet ﷺ. So I sought his ruling, and he said, "Let her walk and let her ride."Wazad added in another narration, "barefoot."
نذرت أختي أن تمشي إلى بيت الله، وأمرتني أن أستفتي لها النبي ﷺ، فاستفتيته، فقال: لتمش ولتركب وزاد في رواية: حافية.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on the penalty for hunting (1866), and Muslim in the chapter on vows (12:1644), both through Ibn Jurayj, who said, Saeed bin Abu Ayub informed me that Yazid bin Abu Habib informed him that Abul-Khayr told him, from Uqba bin Amir, and he related it. The addition is from Muslim, through the narration of Abdullah bin Ayyash, from Yazid bin Abu Habib.
