A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, I have vowed to sacrifice an animal at Buwanah."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Did the place have anything to do with the practices of the days of ignorance?"The man replied, "No."He said, "Then fulfill your vow."
أن رجلا جاء إلى النبي ﷺ فقال يا رسول الله! إني نذرت أن أنحر ببوانة فقال: في نفسك شيء من أمر الجاهلية؟ قال: لا. قال: أوف بنذرك
Ibn Majah (2130) narrated it from Muhammad bin Yahya and Abdullah bin Ishaq Jawhari, who both said, Abdullah bin Raja told us, Masudi informed us, from Habib bin Abu Thabit, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Abdullah bin Raja bin Umar Ghadani Basri, for his hadith is hasan. Masudi is Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Utbah bin Abdullah bin Masud, who became confused in his narration after he came to Baghdad. Imam Ahmad said, "Masudi only became confused in Baghdad, and whoever heard from him in Basra or Kufa, his hearing is good."Abdullah bin Raja Ghadani was among those who heard from him in Basra, as Iraqi stated in Taqyid wal-Idah, page 454.
