The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever seizes the right of a Muslim man through a false oath, Allah forbids Paradise to him and makes the Fire obligatory upon him."They asked, "Even if it is something trivial, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Even if it is a twig from an arak tree, even if it is a twig from an arak tree, even if it is a twig from an arak tree." He said it three times.
Malik narrated it in Al-Aqdiyah (11), from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from Mabad bin Kaab Sulami, from his brother Abdullah bin Kaab bin Malik Ansari, from Abu Umama, and he related it. Muslim narrated it in Al-Iman (137) through the route of Ismail bin Jafar, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, with the same wording.
