My mother asked my father to give me a gift from his property. He decided to do so and gave it to me, but she said, "I will not be satisfied until you have the Prophet ﷺ witness it."So he took me by the hand, as I was still a boy, and brought me to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "His mother, the daughter of Rawahah, has asked me to give this boy a gift."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Do you have any other children besides him?"He replied, "Yes."He said, and I think he said, "Do not call upon me to witness an injustice."
سألت أمي أبي بعض الموهبة لي من ماله، ثم بدا له فوهبها لي، فقالت: لا أرضى حتى تشهد النبي ﷺ فأخذ بيدي وأنا غلام، فأتى بي النبي ﷺ فقال: إن أمه بنت رواحة سألتني بعض الموهبة لهذا؟ قال: ألك ولد سواه؟ قال: نعم. قال: فأراه قال: لا تشهدوني على جور
