The descendants of Suhayb, the freedman of Ibn Judan, claimed two houses and a room, asserting that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given them to Suhayb.Marwan asked, "Who will testify for you regarding this?"They replied, "Ibn Umar."So Marwan summoned him, and he testified that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had indeed given Suhayb two houses and a room. Marwan then ruled in their favor based on his testimony.
أن بني صهيب مولى ابن جدعان ادعوا بيتين وحجرة أن رسول الله ﷺ أعطى ذلك صهيبا، فقال مروان: من يشهد لكما على ذلك؟ قالوا: ابن عمر فدعاه، فشهد لأعطى رسول الله ﷺ صهيبا بيتين وحجرة، فقضى مروان بشهادته لهم.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Gifts (2624) from Ibrahim bin Musa, who said, Hisham bin Yusuf informed us that Ibn Jurayj informed them, he said, Abdullah bin Ubaydullah bin Abu Mulaykah informed me, he said, and he mentioned it.
