The Prophet ﷺ said, "Is not the testimony of a woman equal to half the testimony of a man?"We said, "Yes."He said, "That is due to the deficiency in her reasoning."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: أليس شهادة المرأة مثل نصف شهادة الرجل؟ قلنا: بلى قال: فذلك من نقصان عقلها.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Testimonies (2658), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (80), both through the route of Ibn Abu Maryam, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar informed us, who said, Zayd bin Aslam informed me, from Iyad bin Abdullah, from Abu Saeed Khudri, who mentioned it, and the wording given is that of Bukhari.
