The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Women, give in charity and seek forgiveness often, for I have seen that you make up the majority of the inhabitants of the Fire."A sharp-witted woman among them asked, "Messenger of Allah, why are we the majority of the inhabitants of the Fire?"He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have never seen anyone more capable of overpowering a sensible man than you, despite your deficiency in reason and religion."She asked, "Messenger of Allah, what is this deficiency in reason and religion?"He answered, "As for the deficiency in reason, the testimony of two women equals the testimony of one man, that is the deficiency in reason. And she spends nights without praying and breaks her fast during Ramadan, that is the deficiency in religion."
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال: يا معشر النساء تصدقن وأكثرن الاستغفار، فإني رأيتكن أكثر أهل النار فقالت امرأة منهن، جزلة: ومالنا يا رسول الله أكثر أهل النار؟ قال: تكثرن اللعن، وتكفرن العشير، وما رأيت من ناقصات عقل ودين أغلب الذي لب منكن قالت: يا رسول الله وما نقصان العقل والدين؟ قال: أما نقصان العقل فشهادة امرأتين تعدل شهادة رجل، فهذا نقصان العقل، وتمكث الليالي ما تصلي وتفطر في رمضان، فهذا نقصان الدين.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (79) from Muhammad bin Rumh bin Muhajir Misri, who said, Layth informed us, from Ibn Hadi, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Abdullah bin Umar, and he mentioned it.
