The Prophet ﷺ saw some women and children coming from a wedding. He stood up, joyful, and said, "O Allah, you are among the dearest of people to me."
أبصر النبي ﷺ نساء وصبيانا مقبلين من عرس، فقام ممتنا، فقال: اللهم أنتم من أحب الناس إلي.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Marriage (5180), and Muslim in the Book of the Virtues of the Companions (2508:174), via Abdul-Aziz bin Suhayb, from Anas bin Malik, who said, then he narrated it.His words, "he stood up as an act of favor" refer to bestowing a favor. Whoever the Prophet ﷺ stood up for and honored in this way, he had granted him a favor greater than which there is none.
