The Prophet ﷺ cursed effeminate men and masculine women, and he said, "Expel them from your homes."The Prophet ﷺ expelled so-and-so, and Umar expelled so-and-so.
لعن النبي ﷺ المخنثين من الرجال، والمترجلات من النساء. وقال: أخرجوهن من بيوتكم قال: فأخرج النبي ﷺ فلانا، وأخرج عمر فلانا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5886) from Muaz bin Fadala, who said, Hisham narrated to us, from Yahya, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it.In another version, "those men who imitate women, and those women who imitate men." Bukhari narrated it (5885) from Muhammad bin Bashshar, who said, Ghundar narrated to us, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Qatada, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. He said, "Amr followed him in narrating it," Shuba informed us. Hisham here is Dastawai, and Yahya is Ibn Abu Kathir.Imitation occurs in clothing and adornment that are specific to women, and vice versa. Imitation also includes a man being approached from behind by other men, and a woman engaging in mutual sexual acts with other women. These people were to be expelled from their houses so that the matter of imitation would not lead to engaging in that act. The curse applies specifically to those who imitate, whether men or women, but not to the person who is naturally effeminate by creation.
