"I had no idea until Zaynab came in upon me without permission, furious. She said, 'Messenger of Allah, is it enough for you that the little daughter of Abu Bakr simply flips her wrists at you?' Then she turned on me.I avoided her, until the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Go ahead and defend yourself.' So I turned to her and went at her until I saw that the saliva had dried up in her mouth and she could not respond to me with anything. And I saw the Prophet's face light up with delight."
ما علمت حتى دخلت علي زينب بغير إذن، وهي غضبي، ثم قالت: يا رسول الله أحسبك إذا قلبت لك بنية أبي بكر ذريعتيها ثم أقبلت علي. فأعرضت عنها. حتى قال النبي ﷺ: دونك فانتصري فأقبلت عليها حتى رأيتها وقد يبس ريقها في فيها، ما ترد علي شيئا، فرأيت النبي يتهلل وجهه.
Ibn Majah (1981), Imam Ahmad (24620), and Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (558) all narrated it through Khalid bin Salama, from Bahi, from Urwa bin Zubayr, who said, Ayesha said, and then he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Bahi, who is Abdul-Rahman Bahi, with the ba pronounced with a fatha. It is said that his father's name was Yasar, and Bahi was a title. Ibn Saad and Ibn Hibban both regarded him as trustworthy, a number of narrators transmitted from him, and he is among the men cited by Muslim.Her saying "dhiraaytayha" is the diminutive form of "dhiraa" (forearm).
