The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Women, give in charity and seek forgiveness often, for I have seen that you make up the majority of the people of the Fire."A sharp-witted woman among them asked, "Messenger of Allah, why are we the majority of the people of the Fire?"He replied, "You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands." The hadith continues.
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال: يا معشر النساء تصدقن وأكثرن الاستغفار، فإني رأيتكن أكثر أهل النار، فقالت امرأة منهن، جزلة: وما لنا يا رسول الله أكثر أهل النار؟ قال: تكثرن اللعن، وتكفرن العشير الحديث.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Faith (79) from Muhammad bin Rumh bin Muhajir Misri, who said, Layth (that is, Ibn Saad) informed us, from Ibn Hadi, from Abdullah bin Dinar, from Abdullah bin Umar, and he mentioned it.
