A woman from the Ansar gave her daughter in marriage, and the daughter's hair fell out. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him, saying, "Her husband has ordered me to add false hair to hers."He replied, "No, those who add false hair have been cursed."
Bukhari related it in "Marriage" (5205), and Muslim in "Clothing and Adornment" (118:2123), both through Ibrahim bin Nafi, who said, "Hasan bin Muslim bin Yanaq told me, from Safiya bint Shayba, from Ayesha," and he related it. The wording is Bukhari's.
