Hudhayfah said, "I came to the Prophet ﷺ and prayed Maghrib with him. He continued praying until he had also prayed Isha, then he left, and I followed him. He heard my footsteps and asked, 'Who is this? Hudhayfah?'I replied, 'Yes.'He said, 'What do you need? May Allah forgive you and your mother.' Then he said, 'An angel has just descended who had never come down to the earth before this night. He sought permission from his Lord to greet me with peace and to give me the good news that Fatimah is the leader of the women of Paradise, and that Hasan and Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.'"
أيتت النبي ﷺ فصليت معه المغرب، فصلى حتى صلى العشاء ثم انتقل فتتبعته، فسمع صوتي فقال: من هذا؟ حذيفة؟ قلت: نعم، قال: ما حاجتك غفر الله لك ولأمك. قال: إن هذا ملك لم ينزل الأرض قط قبل هذه الليلة، استأذن ربه أن يسلم علي ويبشرني بأن فاطمة سيدة نساء أهل الجنة، وأن الحسن والحسين سيدا شباب أهل الجنة.
Tirmidhi (3781) narrated it from Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman and Ishaq bin Mansur, who said, Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us, from Israel, from Maysara bin Habib, from Minhal bin Amr, from Zirr bin Hubaysh, from Huzaifa, in a longer hadith than this, which will come later in the chapters on voluntary prayers.Tirmidhi said, "hasan gharib from this angle, we do not know it except through the hadith of Israel."I say, that is indeed so, for Maysara bin Habib and his teacher Minhal bin Amr are both truthful.Ibn Hibban (6960) and Hakim (3/381) also narrated it from this angle, and neither of them mentioned in their hadith the phrase "Fatimah is the mistress of the women of the people of Paradise," except that Hakim narrated it through Imam Ahmad, from Muhammad bin Bakr, who said, Israel narrated to us, with the same chain, and in it, it is stated that it was Jibreel who came to the Prophet ﷺ and gave him the glad tidings.I say, Imam Ahmad (2330) also narrated it in this manner from Aswad bin Amir, who said, Israel narrated to us, from Ibn Abu Safar, from Shaybi, from Huzaifa, and its wording differs slightly, stating that the one who gave him the glad tidings was Jibreel.Shaybi is Amir bin Sharahil, and he is not known to have heard directly from Huzaifa.
