The Prophet ﷺ said, "If I were to command anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: لو كنت آمرا أحدا أن يسجد لأحدأ، لأمرت المرأة أن تسجد لزوجها.
Tirmidhi (1159), Bayhaqi (7/291), and Ibn Abu Dunya in Iyal (534) all narrated it from the hadith of Nadr bin Shumayl, [who said] Muhammad bin Amr informed us, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Amr, who is Ibn Alqama Laythi, for he is hasan al-hadith.Ibn Hibban narrated it in his Sahih (4162) by another route, from Abu Usama, who said, Muhammad bin Amr narrated to us with his isnad, and in it he stated, the Messenger of Allah entered one of the orchards of the Ansar, and there were two camels braying and struggling. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached them, and they lowered their necks to the ground. Those with him said, "It has prostrated to him." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is not fitting for anyone to prostrate to another, and if it were fitting for anyone to prostrate to another, I would have commanded the wife to prostrate to her husband, because of the greatness of the right Allah has placed upon her toward him."Bazzar also narrated it by this route in Kashf Astar (2451) in abridged form, and he said, it was narrated from Muhammad bin Amr by Abu Usama and Nadr bin Shumayl.
