When the sun had passed its zenith, he ordered that Qaswa be brought, and she was saddled for him. He came to the bottom of the valley and addressed the people. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Your blood and your property are sacred to one another, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours. Behold, every matter of the days of ignorance is under my feet, abolished. The blood-feuds of the days of ignorance are abolished, and the first blood-claim of ours that I abolish is the blood of the son of Rabia bin Harith, who was being nursed among the tribe of Saad when Huzayl killed him. The usury of the days of ignorance is abolished, and the first usury that I abolish is our own usury, the usury of Abbas bin Abdul-Muttalib. All of it is abolished.Fear Allah concerning women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allah, and you have made their private parts lawful by the word of Allah. Your right over them is that they do not allow anyone you dislike to sit on your beds. If they do so, then strike them, but not severely. And their right over you is that you provide for them and clothe them in a fitting manner…"
في حديث حجة الوداع:
حتى إذا زاغت الشمس أمر بالقصواء، فرحلت له، فأتى بطن الوادي، فخطب الناس وقال رسول الله ﷺ: إن دماءكم وأموالكم حرام عليكم كحرمة يومكم هذا شهركم هذا في بلدكم هذا، ألا كل شيء من أمر الجاهلية تحت قدمي موضوع، ودماء الجاهلية موضوعة، وإن أول دم أضع من دمائنا دم ابن ربيعة بن الحارث-كان مسترضعا في بني سعد، فقتلته هذيل-وربا الجاهلية موضوع، وأول ربا أضع ربانا ربا عباس بن عبد المطلب فإنه موضوع كله، فاتقوا الله في النساء، فإنكم أخذتموهن بأمان الله، واستحللتم فروجهن بكلمة الله، ولكم عليهن أن لا يوطئن فرشكم أحدا تكرهونه، فإن فعلن ذلك فاضربوهن ضربا غير مبرح، ولهن عليكم رزقهن وكسوتهن بالمعروف…
