The Messenger of Allah ﷺ married me, and my mother brought me into a house where some women of the Ansar were present. They said, "May this be upon goodness, blessing, and the best of fortune."
تزوجني رسول الله ﷺ فأدخلتني أمي بيتا فإذا نسوة من الأنصار قلن: على الخير والبركة، وعلى خير طائر.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Virtues (3894) and Muslim in the Book of Marriage (1422), both from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha, who narrated it.Her saying, "with the best bird" means with the best fortune and share. A person's "bird" is his share.
